We shall leave the drive near a school to start the walk. A little talk about Shimla and its suburbs gives a start to the day. The most interesting part of the beginning is a conversation about the seven hills of Shimla and Ice-Skating Rink that is visible at a distance from the starting point.
Long ago there was a mysterious and wealthy man in Shimla who died of hunger because he lost all his wealth for a deal of a diamond that he sold to a Royal King. Start from his house and follow the traffic road for a short distance to continue the walk.
Few Heritage Houses
Some of the most beautiful houses on Shimla from the British era are there on the way. We shall see them from outside. They have their own stories of their making and maintenance whereas some of them are completely in dilapidated condition. But there is a lot to talk about them and their past.
Forested Trail and a Temple
Stunning views of the Himalayan ranges lure you to visit them. On a clear day the view of these ranges are astounding. We continue and follow the forested road to pass a huge size water tank. Originally used to chill the beer bottles by the British officers.
A lovely forested trail, at the end of the walk, leads us to a local temple. This is frequently visited by the locals and also holds an amazing view of the mountains.
