Cemetery in Sanjauli

This Cemetery in Shimla was started in 1921 after the First World War. Before that the Cemetery in Kanlog was in use that was located just below the building of the High Court. ThisCemetery in Sanjauli has many prominent citizens of Shimla resting in peace. We began our small research on the Cemeteries in this part of the country in November 2009. Since then we have helped a large number of visitors, especially the British to find their ancestral routes. We maintain the records of births, deaths, and the burials in these cemeteries.

The cemetery is still used by the Indian Christians.  It has more than five hundred graves of the British. We have helped many British in the past and are keen to help more. Most of the graves have lost there slab stones and inscriptions. The stones have been abandoned by people. God knows what do they do with the stone from the Grave. With the help of BACSA (British Association of Cemeteries of South Asia), we are trying to repair the graves and the Cemeteries but finance is a hurdle.
